Honeywell Portable Potentiometer Model 2730 Vintage Rubicon Scientific Instrument
A Rubicon Instruments potentiometer model 2730 with volt and millivolt calibration. Previously used in a university setting. Powered by two 1.4 V dry cells which are included. There were two semi-modern looking D batteries close to there the dry cells where that have been removed and thrown away.
See pictures of the dry cells as they are collectible and probably from the 50-60’s
Instructions card says Honeywell Denver Division 4800 E. Dry Creek Road Denver Colorado.
Dimensions: 13 ½” by 9” by 8”
Weight = 17 lb 3 oz
Has not been tested
Condition (8/10) Good Overall: Condition is mainly based off of physical appearance. The box does not show many signs of wear. The instruction card is in good condition with on a 0.5 cm by 0.5 cm spot of ripped paper. All knobs turn smoothly. No Broken parts on the inside. All lead caps are present. The D batteries that were removed did leak at one point and there is battery residue on the terminals. Battery leakage does not appear to be much else other than terminals and can be cleaned. I’m sure the original dry cells do not work.
